“WHERE ONCE WAS”
Where once only sadness was
Joyful tones of timbre rose,
Where once the darkest hours came
A jeweled ray of light remained,
Where once I thought my world too small
A universe of stars would fall,
Where once I shunned your helpful hand
I now in grace with you can stand,
Where once all hope had fallen mute
A vision strong stood resolute,
Replaced my frail and brittle view,
So tender was this love with you
To kiss my once-forsaken soul,
Where luscious gardens now can grow.
If words can seed where nothing was
May they, in writing now…a blessing be
Within the hearts of you and me.
