THE WIND SPEAKS
The wind spoke to me today
It spoke of clearing things away
To move along the graces of change
To forget and remember simultaneously
To know that all experience is like water
Seeking the path of least resistance
To feel the refreshment that passing brings
It spoke of peaceful comfort
And the unremitting force of impartiality
To know that holding on is self persecution
That fear of loosing what is never lost
Of what is held and cherished in the heart
The wind spoke to me today
Of mysteries known in silence
That every moment brings
As each moment passes
Until no moments remain
Only the now of past, present, and future
As I am left deeply gazing
Into a universe of stars
Shining through your eyes.
