WELCOME HOME
There is an ocean between us
Its waves bring reminders of each other
as we crash upon each other’s shore
confused by how long It has taken us
to recognize this love we have for each other,
that got lost amidst the weeds and brambles
of our desperate search for ourselves.
I see you now
with eyes most clear,
No longer caught in the glare
of self-preoccupation.
It is sooo good to see you!
