-BEGINNER’S MIND-

-BEGINNER’S MIND-
Unable to move, he watched…
As every thought became a bird
leaving the comforting nest of ego-mind

He began to shake, he watched…
As every leaf of attachment fell away
A multi-coloured carpet of yesterday’s dreams
lay before him

Each departing step into Promise
kissed the earth with gratitude
For all that struggle has taught
about forgetfulness.

Unable to speak, he listened…
Not so much with his ears
but with his whole body

Every hair on his skin
became a vibrational receptor
His whole being oscillated
between fear and courage

All strength melted into trust
All knowing became
the pregnant pause of potential
And the joy of possibility

Unable to control, he served…
And from such servitude
A rich tapestry of living abundance
blossomed all around him

He witnessed how love
becomes greater and more powerful
when given away

He was unable to take anything
without giving something away,
And often it was that
to which he most desperately clung to

Unable to resist, he surrendered…
He wept a lifetime into the soil

Visions of hope and renewal
emerged amidst the heaving breath
of his convulsive chest.

Unable to DO anything, he collapsed…
…his house of cards,
and like the morning sun,
He embraced his Beginner’s Mind.
